Being Grateful

August 31st, 2013

Although it’s often counter-intuitive to be grateful in the face of adversity, it’s often the most important time for us to focus on what we appreciate – about ourselves, others, and life in general.

Even and especially when things go “bad,” we’re often given an opportunity to take inventory of the good stuff in our life that we may not have been paying attention to as we were rushing our way through things.

Take some time right now to think about some of the things you’re grateful for.

Adversity can remind us that while things may be tough, we have so many blessings – health, a job, a place to live, people who love us, and much more.

And, there are also many things we can appreciate about the difficulty itself – we may realize we’re stronger than we thought we were, we have more support around us than we knew, or we’re able to learn some important lessons about ourselves and life.

There is always a lot for us to be grateful for, if we choose to pay attention. We can’t feel grateful and victimized at the same time!

Worries

August 31st, 2013

What happens when someone worries?

Basically, they think of 100 reasons why something might go wrong. And all of those thoughts then struggle to become things, sometimes overriding their more constructive thoughts.

It’s like a train wreck. Ain’t pretty. But that’s the power of worry.

Now, let’s say you want something fantastic to manifest in your life. Have you sat down yet and listed 100 reasons why it might come to you easily, fast, and harmoniously?

I think you should.

Rejection

August 31st, 2013

One of the most stringent conditions all angels must meet, other than double-advanced harp playing and skydiving abilities (not necessarily at the same time), is that they must not allow themselves to feel hurt or rejected by the choices made by others, no matter how much they’ve done for them nor how great their love.

Think About What You Want

August 31st, 2013

All you have to do is think about what you want often enough that you start talking about it and moving with it, even if you have to fake it.

Your job is simple. Even if you only “attempt” to do it, you will have done it. The slightest effort on your side is leveraged 10,000 times on my side. A nod, a wink, a whisper are sometimes all I need; a demonstration that breaks the ice, beginning a domino effect of happy “accidents” and “coincidences.”

If you do this, I’ll do the rest. It is that easy. I am that powerful. Life is that magical.

Reflections

August 31st, 2013

A mirror never lies, and neither does time and space as a reflection of what you’re thinking. If you put it out there, it has to come back. No matter how much it weighs, glitters, or costs.

Look for the Good Stuff

August 31st, 2013

When the circumstances of our lives are challenging, it’s even more important that we look for the good stuff, if we want to keep our power and be able to transcend our current situation. Complaining about how “bad” things are never makes them better.

People who are able to find the gold in difficult people and situations, not only are more likely to be successful and fulfilled in life, they are also the kind of people who can lead, inspire, and make the biggest difference for others. When we are able to find things to appreciate, even and especially when things don’t look so good on the surface, we’re able to rise above the “drama” of life and empower ourselves and others in a genuine way.

Being Grateful

August 31st, 2013

Without minimizing any of the current circumstances we’re facing in our society, at work, or in our personal lives, it’s important to remember that we are the ones who get to choose what we pay attention to, how we interpret things, and what we appreciate in each and every moment of life.

This is not about having some phony, Pollyanna, everything-is-perfect attitude about life; it’s about choosing to be grateful for who we are, what we have, and for all that we get to learn and experience in this wonderful journey of life.

Lifting Your Vibration

August 31st, 2013

Every good thought, every good word, every good emotion, and every
act of kindness, is lifting the vibration of your being to new
heights.  And as you begin to raise your vibration, a new life and
a new world will reveal itself to you.

There is no limit to how high you can increase your vibration,
because there is no limit to the good thoughts you can think, or
the good words you can speak, or the acts of kindness that you can
do.  Other than transforming your own life through lifting your
vibration, you lift others’ lives too. The positive vibration of
your energy emanates out like a stone thrown into water, touching
our planet and every living thing on it.  As you rise higher, you
take the world with you.

Making Things Work

Ever notice how when you stop trying to make something work that hasn’t been working, new stuff appears and starts working?
